Earned Leave Twitterstorm!

In January, Daniella released her bold new earned leave plan requiring all county contractors to provide paid leave to their workers.

People told us that this plan is impossible, but now, business leaders and workers agree that we need paid sick leave if we want to re-open our economy. Unfortunately, not everyone is with us.

That’s why we’re planning a Twitterstorm for Monday at 5PM to intensify the call for earned leave. Can you join us and Tweet your support? See below for sample tweets and graphics you can download. Be sure to tag us @votedaniella and use the hashtag #earnedleaveFL.

Proud to join @votedaniella in calling for 14 days of paid leave for ALL workers. We can’t make anyone choose between stopping the spread of a disease like COVID-19 and putting food on the table.
When unemployed Floridians waited in long lines for paper applications, they risked their health to put food on the table. We can’t make them do that again, and that’s why I agree with @votedaniella that we need paid sick leave in order to safely re-open our economy.
